May Tran is the Director of Communications for the Sacramento County History Day board.  In addition to serving on the board, Mrs. Tran has judged for State History Day, and has participated in the competition while attending Samuel Jackman Middle School and Valley High School. 

Mrs. Tran has competed in the group exhibit, group documentary, and individual documentary category.  Her group documentary: “The Bataan Death March: Triumph and Tragedy in History” (1997) placed third at the state competition, and she has shared the documentary with various schools and organizations to help inform people about the infamous event.

In her other life, Mrs. Tran is a Certified Financial Planner® professional, with Smith-Mottini Financial Advisors. She is also Executive Secretary of the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento Board, and active in the Roseville Chamber and Chico Chamber.
