While attending Valley High School, Mr. Mayo participated in History Day once in the senior group exhibit category and once in the senior group documentary category. His greatest History Day accomplishment was senior group documentary, "The Bataan Death March: Triumph and Tragedy in History" (1997), which placed third at state competition.
Mr. Mayo graduated from U.C. Davis with a B.S. in Neurobiology, but went on to pursue a career in the technology field. With over 10 years of experience with multi-media and digital imaging and five years as a technology consultant, he hopes to breakdown and answer questions regarding the process and creation of History Day documentaries.
Mr. Mayo works as an analyst for the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) throughout the week and as a professional photographer during the weekends.
